Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Inventory Officer to anchor the retail engine of our Surulere store. In the fast-paced FMCG sector, success is defined by "Inventory Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize high-volume stock movements with the clinical precision required for FIFO/FEFO Rotation, Expiry Mitigation, and POS/ERP Accuracy. This role is designed for a "Flow Architect" with 1–3 years of retail experience who can blend "Physical Grit" (lifting and organizing goods) with the "Analytical Agility" required to conduct rigorous Stock Reconciliations and minimize shrinkage.
Requirements:
1. Intake Orchestration & Verification Governance
Verification Sovereignty: Receive and verify incoming products against delivery notes with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Quality Compliance."
Data Architecture: Record all stock movements accurately in the POS/ERP system, providing the "Structural Foundation" for real-time inventory visibility.
Intake Stewardship: Inspect goods for damages and expiry dates at the point of entry, ensuring the "Source of Saleable Stock" is uncompromised.
2. Storage Resilience & Rotation Logic
Rotation Sovereignty: Strictly implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) protocols, acting as the primary "Source of Freshness Management."
Space Architecture: Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas, ensuring the "Source of Efficient Retrieval" and minimal handling damages.
Replenishment Stewardship: Issue products to the sales floor based on approved requisitions, maintaining the "Source of Optimal Shelf Availability."
3. Accuracy Integrity & Control Power
Reconciliation Sovereignty: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts with clinical focus, acting as the primary "Source of Variance Identification."
Risk Architecture: Investigate and report shrinkage or stock losses, providing the "Source of Fraud Prevention and Loss Mitigation."
Monitoring Logic: Track near-expiry products and notify management of reorder needs, utilizing 1–3 years of FMCG expertise to maximize the "Source of Inventory Health."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of SSCE / OND / NCE.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a supermarket, retail, or FMCG storekeeping role.
Technical Mastery: Familiarity with POS/ERP systems and basic MS Excel for documentation.
Core Competencies
Physical Grit: Stamina for lifting and moving goods in a fast-paced back-store environment.
Numerical Sovereignty: Strong documentation skills and high attention to detail for stock reconciliations.
Reliability Power: High integrity, accountability, and the ability to work Monday–Saturday (8 am – 6 pm).
