Job Description:

PMN Farms is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Officer to champion our commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship. In this role, you will be the primary guardian of our HSE standards, responsible for identifying operational risks, enforcing safety protocols, and fostering a culture of compliance across all farming operations. If you are passionate about agricultural safety, biosecurity, and risk mitigation, this role offers a high-impact opportunity to protect our people, assets, and the environment.

Requirements:

• Operational Safety: Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments for all farm activities to prevent workplace hazards.

• Policy Implementation: Develop and implement robust HSE policies, ensuring full adherence to environmental regulations and company safety procedures.

• Incident Management: Lead the investigation of accidents, near misses, or safety incidents; prepare detailed reports and implement corrective actions.

• Training & Culture: Facilitate employee safety training and awareness programs, ensuring every team member is fully competent in safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.

• Biosecurity & Sanitation: Monitor farm-wide biosecurity and sanitation standards to maintain a safe and healthy production environment.

• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate HSE records, ensure regulatory filings are up to date, and support emergency preparedness and response activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Degree or HND in HSE, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or related fields.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in HSE management, safety compliance, or environmental management.

• Technical Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation.

  • Strong ability to enforce compliance standards and work independently.

  • Excellent technical report writing and facilitation skills.

• Certifications: Professional HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISPON, etc.) are considered a significant added advantage.
