Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and exceptionally connected Head of Strategic Business to anchor our expansion within the Abuja (FCT) insurance corridor. In a sector defined by risk and trust, success is measured by "Access Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize complex insurance products with the clinical precision required to navigate the public sector and elite boardroom environments. This role is designed for a "Commercial Diplomat" with 4–5 years of experience who can blend "Market Grit" with the "Strategic Finesse" required to engage High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and government stakeholders.
Requirements:
1. Public Sector & Institutional Orchestration
Policy Synergy: Leverage strong contacts within the Nigerian Public Sector to identify and capture large-scale institutional insurance mandates and government-backed schemes.
Market Penetration: Execute targeted growth strategies across diverse sectors, ensuring the firm captures a dominant "Share of Mind" among key decision-makers in Abuja.
Strategic Alliances: Build and sustain high-fidelity partnerships with government agencies and parastatals, positioning the firm as the primary "Source of Authority" for risk management.
2. Boardroom Diplomacy & HNWI Stewardship
Elite Engagement: Utilize verifiable contacts to navigate boardroom environments, presenting insurance solutions that align with the strategic goals of corporate leaders and directors.
Private Wealth Protection: Act as a trusted advisor to High-Net-Worth Individuals, engineering bespoke life and asset insurance portfolios that provide absolute financial security.
Relationship Sovereignty: Maintain a high-trust network of influencers and C-suite executives, ensuring the firm remains the first choice for high-value insurance placements.
3. Performance Engineering & Autonomous Growth
Revenue Architecture: Drive the achievement of aggressive sales targets and business KPIs, utilizing a data-driven approach to monitor pipeline velocity and conversion.
Operational Independence: Manage the strategic business unit with a focus on "Result-Orientation," requiring zero-bottleneck performance and minimal supervision.
Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the firm at elite industry events, trade expos, and high-level social gatherings, reinforcing the brand's premium identity in the FCT.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: First Degree in any discipline. (Professional insurance certifications or an MBA are significant strategic assets).
Experience: 4–5 years of robust experience in a similar strategic business or high-level sales role, specifically within the Insurance or Financial Services sector.
Network: Must possess verifiable contacts in the public sector, among HNWIs, and within corporate boardrooms.
