Job Description:
We are seeking a visionary and commercially astute Head, Human Resources to provide strategic leadership across our diverse Group of companies. In a complex, multi-SBU (Strategic Business Unit) environment, Human Resources is the primary architect of organizational agility and performance. This role is designed for a "People Strategist", an executive with 10–12 years of experience who can harmonize HR policies across different business lines while ensuring that human capital becomes a definitive competitive advantage.
Your mission is to ensure "Group Synergy and Workforce Excellence." You will be the steward of the Group’s culture, the guardian of regulatory compliance, and the lead negotiator in industrial relations. If you possess "Executive Grit" and the technical depth to manage HR automation and complex compensation benchmarking, we want you to lead our people-strategy.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
Group Alignment: Develop and drive Group-wide HR policies and people-related strategies that align precisely with the broader business objectives.
HRBP Governance: Oversee and mentor Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs), ensuring they act as effective strategic advisors to their respective SBU Heads.
Stakeholder Diplomacy: Partner with SBU Heads to identify talent gaps, organizational design needs, and cultural integration opportunities across the Group.
2. Talent Optimization & Performance Architecture
Lifecycle Management: Lead high-impact talent acquisition strategies and align performance management frameworks with specialized training and development programs.
Compensation Governance: Drive rigorous compensation benchmarking and benefits administration to ensure the Group remains a "Top-Tier" employer of choice.
Culture Integration: Manage the delicate process of cultural integration across different business units, fostering a unified brand identity and high-engagement work environment.
3. Systems, Compliance & Industrial Relations
Digital Transformation: Oversee the implementation and optimization of ERP and HRIS platforms to automate HR workflows and leverage data through advanced HR analytics.
Legal Stewardship: Ensure 100% compliance with Nigerian Labor Laws and relevant regulatory requirements, maintaining all HR documentation at an "Audit-Ready" standard.
Industrial Harmony: Lead disciplinary processes and manage employee/industrial relations with a focus on negotiation and conflict resolution.
Vendor Management: Oversee third-party HR service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met with maximum cost-efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or Psychology.
Advanced Education: Master’s Degree in HR or an HR-related field is REQUIRED.
Experience: 10 – 12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role (experience in large, multi-entity organizations is preferred).
Certification: MANDATORY professional certification (e.g., ACIPM, SPHRi, or SHRM-SCP).
