African Steel Mills Nigeria Limited is a leading Manufacturer and Supplier of Steel Products, including Steel Bars.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• To build a quality and adequate mineral resource base to anchor planned monthly/quarterly/annual production, and medium to long term planned production growth.
• To manage ore reserves and mineral resource (R&R) portfolio in conformance to the AIG R&R policy and strategy.
• The role has overall accountability for all exploration activities in the company, including assessments of existing and potential new mineral assets; and managing the geology teams and mineral resource evaluation/estimation activities of the Company’s development projects

Requirements:

• Professional Geologist designation and a degree in geology or related specialisation with over 10 years of senior role experience over a wide range of mineral commodities is a must. Postgraduate and leadership qualifications are advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of mineral exploration techniques and their applications.
• International/Africa experience in diverse geological environments.
• Excellent communication skills, oral, written and presentation.
• Professional and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
• Strong experience in mandatory record keeping, exploration documentation, and developing and authoring technical reports.
