OLIRF is a Nigerian NGO devoted to humanity through capacity building and mindset development. We focus on Poverty Alleviation, Child Care, and Emergency Relief. Our flagship project is the A Million Dream Educational Scholarship Initiative, a ten-year national intervention designed to support one million Nigerian beneficiaries across all 36 states.
Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Grant Officer to spearhead resource mobilization for the Omalife Foundation (OLRF). This role is the engine behind our "A Million Dream Educational Scholarship Initiative." You will be responsible for building a robust funding pipeline, crafting persuasive grant proposals, and ensuring that our nationwide interventions spanning primary education to tertiary retention remain fully compliant with the stringent requirements of international donors.
Requirements:
Grant Sourcing & Proposal Development: Identify and secure funding from prestigious partners (Embassies, UN agencies, USAID, EU, and Corporate CSR). You will draft tailored proposals for our three-tier educational framework:
Basic Education (30%): Ensuring access to primary/junior secondary materials.
Transition Support (50%): Funding examination fees (WAEC, NECO, JAMB) and tertiary admissions.
Tertiary Retention (20%): Providing financial aid to prevent dropouts.
Complex Budgeting: Design sophisticated logframes and budgets that scale across all 36 states and the FCT.
Compliance & Reporting: Act as the guardian of grant integrity. You will manage a master tracker for all deadlines and ensure that every intervention—from kit distribution to tuition disbursement—is documented to international donor standards.
Donor Relations & Impact Storytelling: Translate raw data from our 100,000+ annual beneficiaries into compelling impact stories that demonstrate clear ROI to our partners.
Strategic Support: Assist the Executive Director in high-level networking and the long-term planning of a 10-year educational roadmap.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience: 2–4 years of proven experience in grant writing and reporting within the NGO sector, with a track record of securing substantial (7-figure NGN or international) grants.
Technical Mastery: Expert ability to build complex project budgets and logical frameworks. High proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace.
Subject Matter Expertise: Deep familiarity with large-scale educational interventions or scholarship management is highly desired.
Mobility: A readiness to travel across Nigeria to monitor project sites and engage with donors.
