Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Grant and Partnership Officer to serve as the engine of our organizational growth. This is a high-stakes role designed for a "closer"—someone who can navigate the complex landscape of local and international donor funding to secure the resources needed for our social impact programs.

You will be responsible for the entire funding lifecycle: from identifying obscure international opportunities and drafting competitive, data-driven proposals to managing long-term donor relationships. Requirements:

1. Strategic Grant Sourcing & Intelligence

  • Opportunity Tracking: Proactively identify and monitor local and international grant opportunities using global databases and donor networks.

  • Mission Alignment: Analyze donor priorities to ensure a perfect fit between our social impact programs and the funding organization's mission.

  • Competitor Analysis: Benchmark our proposals against industry standards to ensure our applications remain the most competitive in the pool.

2. High-Impact Proposal Development

  • Grant Writing Excellence: Draft compelling, technical, and persuasive grant applications that clearly articulate program impact and sustainability.

  • Budgeting & Finance: Collaborate with program leads to develop precise, compliant budgets that reflect operational realities while adhering to donor ceilings.

  • Compliance Frameworks: Ensure every application meets the rigorous technical and legal requirements of both domestic and foreign funding bodies.

3. Donor Engagement & Stewardship

  • Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for donors, ensuring transparent, professional, and timely communication throughout the grant lifecycle.

  • Reporting & Integrity: Manage the reporting calendar to ensure all progress and financial reports are submitted with 100% accuracy and before deadlines.

  • Site Visits & Audits: Coordinate donor inspections and evaluations, showcasing our program success and operational integrity.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in grant writing, resource mobilization, or donor-funded program management.

  • Proven Track Record: Mandatory experience in securing and managing international grants; winning both local and foreign grants is a significant competitive advantage.

  • Location: Must be a resident of Abuja.

  • Age: 21 – 29 years (As of the time of application).

Core Competencies

  • Grant-Writing Mastery: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into clear, persuasive narratives.

  • Research & Analysis: Advanced skills in identifying funding trends and donor "pain points."

  • Interpersonal IQ: High-level coordination and communication skills for multi-stakeholder engagement.

  • Ethics: Uncompromising integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
