The Graduate Trainee role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to retail engineering operations, supporting both core network and retail client systems. The role connects to the overall strategy of ensuring network reliability, timely fault resolution, and continuous improvement in engineering practices. Trainees will develop foundational technical skills while contributing to project execution and operational excellence.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution

• Complete all tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor within defined timelines.
• Assist the engineering team in project planning, implementation, and troubleshooting.

2. Technical Support

• Provide support for retail clients and core network operations.
• Resolve network faults and incidents within SLA targets.
• Observe existing engineering strategies and propose improvements.

3. Research & Data Analysis

• Conduct technical research and data collation to support network optimization.
• Compile reports and present findings to staff and relevant stakeholders.

4. Training & Development

• Participate actively in all training programs.
• Submit to evaluations and assessments during the traineeship.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, network issues, and project progress.
• Prepare reports and presentations for team meetings and management reviews.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Good understanding of LAN/WAN networks, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).
• Familiarity with Linux and Python programming.
• Knowledge of WiFi technologies and network troubleshooting.
• Customer-focused, tech-savvy, action-oriented, and results-driven.
• Self-starter with adaptability, resilience, and eagerness to learn.
• Strong documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.Eng) in Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• Certifications: CCNA, Linux Fundamentals, Python (preferred).

Work Experience (Desirable)

• Practical exposure in implementing and troubleshooting LAN and WAN networks.
• Experience with routing protocols, network maintenance, and fault resolution.
• Familiarity with programming, scripting, and network automation tools.
