Job Description:

Schneider Institute is seeking a fluent and experienced German Language Teacher to lead our intermediate and upper-intermediate (B1 and B2) proficiency classes. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who excels at breaking down complex linguistic structures and preparing students for the rigors of the Goethe-Zertifikat examinations. You will be responsible for creating a high-energy, interactive classroom environment that focuses equally on grammatical precision and conversational fluency.

The ideal candidate should not only be a master of the language but also a mentor who can guide students through the cultural and technical nuances of German at a professional level.

Requirements:

Instruction & Curriculum Delivery

• Targeted Teaching: Deliver comprehensive German language lessons specifically designed for students at the B1 and B2 levels.

• Multimodal Exercises: Conduct intensive exercises across the four core pillars: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.

• Material Development: Prepare engaging lesson materials, assignments, and interactive modules that align with current Goethe Institute standards.

Exam Preparation & Assessment

• Examination Coaching: Directly prepare students for the Goethe-Zertifikat B1 and B2 examinations, focusing on test-taking strategies and common linguistic pitfalls.

• Progress Tracking: Regularly assess student performance through mock tests and oral evaluations, providing constructive feedback to bridge learning gaps.

Classroom Management

• Engaging Environment: Maintain a positive, professional, and immersive learning atmosphere that encourages students to communicate primarily in German.

• Organization: Manage student records, attendance, and assignment grading with a high level of professional discipline.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Language Proficiency:

  • Minimum German proficiency level: Goethe-Zertifikat B2 (C1 or C2 level is highly preferred).

  • Must be fluent in both spoken and written German with a near-native grasp of grammar and syntax.

• Teaching Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching German to adult learners or exam candidates is a significant advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to teach intermediate and upper-intermediate levels effectively.

• Core Competencies:
