Job Description:
- The General Manager isresponsible for driving business growth, ensuring operational excellence, and translating the vision of the Chief Executive Officer into measurable results.
- The role holder will provide strategic direction to all departments, manage cross-functional teams, and uphold the highest standards of performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement annual operational plans aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
- Drive business development initiatives to expand revenue streams and strengthen market position.
Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Set clear performance targets for departmental heads and monitor progress against agreed KPIs.
Financial Oversight:
- Work with the Finance team to manage budgets, control costs, and optimise resource allocation.
- Review financial reports and provide management with actionable insights for decision-making.
People Management:
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance guidance to team leads and managers.
- Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
Customer & Quality Assurance:
- Maintain a strong customer-centric culture across all business units.
- Oversee service quality standards and ensure prompt resolution of escalated complaints.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing multi-functional teams and delivering measurable business results.
- Experience in a food, FMCG, retail, or hospitality environment is preferred.
