We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

  • The Fleet Monitoring Officer is responsible for tracking, monitoring, and reporting the real-time movement and performance of company vehicles.
  • The role ensures compliance with approved routes, driving schedules, speed limits, and company policies while supporting safe, efficient, and cost-effective fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor company vehicles in real time using GPS and fleet management systems.
  • Track vehicle location, speed, routes, stoppages, and trip completion.
  • Ensure drivers adhere to approved routes, schedules, and speed limits.
  • Identify and flag unauthorized movements, long stoppages, or route deviations.
  • Communicate with drivers regarding route deviations, delays, or operational issues.
  • Escalate incidents such as speeding, harsh driving, or suspicious activities.
  • Support drivers with navigation guidance and route clarification when required.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fleet monitoring reports.
  • Document incidents, violations, breakdowns, and unusual activities.
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel usage records, and vehicle performance data.
  • Support theft prevention by monitoring vehicle movement and alerts.
  • Respond promptly to emergency alerts, breakdowns, or security issues.
  • Ensure compliance with fleet safety and operational policies.
  • Work closely withlogistics and operations teams.
  • Support vehicle scheduling, downtime tracking, and maintenance alerts.
  • Provide data insights to improve route efficiency and fuel management.

Requirements:

  • OND / HND / B.Sc Degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1 – 3 years experience in fleet monitoring, transport operations, or control room roles.
  • Experience using GPS tracking or fleet management software is an advantage.
  • Basic data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends or nights if required.
  • High attention to detail and strong situational awareness.
