Job Description:
Collaborate with the Financial Controller (FC) to design, update, and implement financial policies, procedures, and strategies across the Group
Support the preparation of annual business plans, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics to drive operational and strategic decision-making
Work with the FC to establish company-wide standards for systems, data management, and financial processes, including the development and implementation of finance SOPs
Design and oversee the implementation of a sound accounting framework while ensuring compliance with tax laws and statutory regulations
Maintain strong financial controls across all Group operations to safeguard assets and ensure accountability
Oversee accurate recording of financial transactions and coordinate the consolidation of accounts across all business units and functions
Prepare and deliver accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial and management reports, including tax filings, cash flow statements, and statutory accounts
Coordinate the preparation and submission of financial reports in line with Group requirements
Manage statutory reporting processes, setting timelines and providing guidance to finance teams, including support for year-end group accounts and audits
Ensure intra-group account balances are reconciled regularly and resolve discrepancies promptly
Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, solicitors, and banking institutions
Prepare and process Letters of Credit for product importation in line with company procedures
Oversee tax computation, remittance, insurance payments, and other statutory obligations
Provide technical training, guidance, and advisory support on emerging financial accounting standards, issues, and trends
Review weekly financial and operational reports submitted by departments and provide timely updates to the Financial Controller
Support the Finance Office in identifying, managing, and mitigating financial risks
Ensure compliance with HSE policies, safe work practices, and company standards at all times
Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Line Manager
Requirements:
- B.Sc. or HND in any discipline, plus
- 8 to 10 years of work experience in Accounts/Finance function
- ICAN or ACCA professional qualification
