Job Description:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, journals, and supporting documentation
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability
- Prepare periodic financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and expense analyses
- Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis
- Process payroll and ensure accurate computation of salaries, deductions, and benefits
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian statutory requirements, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, pension, and other regulatory remittances
- Support internal and external audits by providing required financial records and explanations
- Maintain proper filing systems for financial documents (both physical and electronic)
- Monitor financial controls and ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards
- Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions
- Support management with financial insights and reports to aid decision-making.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar systems
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory compliance
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an accounting or finance role.
Salary
