FASHION PRODUCTION MANAGER AT WHITEKAFTAN BESPOKE SERVICES | ABUJA

Abuja, Nigeria | Posted on 14/01/2026

Job Description:

We are looking for a meticulous and structured Fashion Production Manager to lead our tailoring atelier. You will be the engine room of our brand, responsible for transforming creative designs into perfectly finished garments—ranging from precision-cut Kaftans and Agbadas to contemporary corporate trousers. This role requires a rare mix of technical tailoring expertise and operational management. You will manage a team of tailors, optimize workflows, and enforce rigorous quality control to ensure every piece that leaves our workshop is a masterpiece of fit and craftsmanship.

Requirements:

1. Tailoring Workflow & Team Management

  • Production Scheduling: Design and manage the daily production schedule to ensure all orders (Bespoke and RTW) are completed on or before delivery deadlines.

  • Staff Supervision: Oversee a team of tailors, cutters, and finishers, assigning tasks based on individual strengths and monitoring their speed and accuracy.

  • Capacity Planning: Identify bottlenecks in the production line and implement strategies to increase output without sacrificing quality.

2. Technical Quality Control & Fit

  • Craftsmanship Standards: Conduct rigorous quality checks at every stage—from the precision of the initial cut to the neatness of the final "top-stitch" and embroidery.

  • Fit Verification: Ensure all garments, especially complex pieces like structured Agbadas and slim-fit trousers, meet the exact measurements and silhouette requirements of the brand.

  • Troubleshooting: Provide technical guidance to tailors on difficult fabric handling or complex design constructions.

3. Material & Inventory Management

  • Fabric & Trim Oversight: Monitor the usage of fabrics (Aso-oke, Senator, Wool, Silk) and trims to minimize wastage and ensure cost-effectiveness.

  • Procurement Liaison: Work with the procurement team to ensure all necessary materials (buttons, zippers, interlining) are in stock before a production batch begins.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of material consumption per garment to help refine production costs and pricing.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience & Background

  • Industry Tenure: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in fashion production management or a senior tailoring role.

  • Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of garment construction, pattern drafting, and the specific requirements of African traditional wear (Kaftan, Agbada).

  • Leadership: Proven experience managing a team of artisans in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.

Core Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: An uncompromising eye for symmetry, finishing, and garment aesthetics.

  • Problem-Solving: The ability to fix construction errors quickly and optimize production processes.

  • Operational Discipline: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple custom orders simultaneously.
