Job Description:

We are seeking a technically meticulous and growth-oriented ELV / Smart Building Technologist to join our technical squad at Ujax Engineering. In the era of intelligent architecture, success is defined by "System Fidelity", the ability to deliver clean, reliable, and perfectly configured smart environments across residential and hospitality sectors. This role is designed for a "Digital Craftsman" with an OND/HND background who can blend "Hands-on Installation Grit" with the "Configurational Logic" required to automate modern buildings.

Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Defect Handovers and High-Precision Technical Execution." You will be a vital member of our on-site team: responsible for the physical installation, termination, and configuration of everything from CCTV and access control to advanced lighting automation and structured cabling. Requirements:

1. ELV & Building Automation Installation

• Security & Safety Orchestration: Lead the on-site installation and maintenance of CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and public address systems, ensuring 100% operational readiness.

• Smart Ecosystem Integration: Execute high-finish installations of smart switches, automated lighting, curtains, and sensors, turning traditional spaces into responsive environments.

• Structured Cabling Mastery: Carry out professional termination of CAT6 and fiber optics, managing racks with a "Clean-Build" philosophy that ensures long-term system reliability.

2. Configuration, Testing & Handover

• Device Logic Configuration: Set up and test IP devices and automation hubs, ensuring that every sensor and camera is communicating perfectly within the network before client handover.

• Drawing Fidelity: Accurately interpret site plans and technical drawings to ensure that the physical installation aligns perfectly with the engineering design.

• Client Orientation: Provide basic guidance to clients during handover, ensuring they understand how to interact with their new smart building systems.

3. Troubleshooting & Professional Standards

• System Diagnostics: Proactively identify and fix faults in ELV systems both during the installation phase and during post-completion maintenance.

• Logistical Discipline: Maintain a high level of organization regarding tools, materials, and work areas, reflecting the professional standards of Ujax Engineering.

• Collaborative Synergy: Work seamlessly with engineers and other technicians to meet strict project deadlines without compromising on finish quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: OND, HND, or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, ICT, or a related technical field.

• Technical Experience: Practical, hands-on experience with ELV or Smart Building systems. (Experience in hotels or large-scale residential projects is a distinct advantage).

• Foundational Knowledge: A solid grasp of Networking, IP devices, and low-voltage power systems.

Core Competencies

• Tool Proficiency: Confident use of basic hand tools and specialized testing equipment (e.g., fluke testers, multimeters).

• Work Ethic: A strong sense of honesty, teamwork, and a "Willingness to Learn" emerging technologies in the automation space.
