Job Description:

The Nigerian Army is seeking exceptionally qualified and disciplined professionals for commission into its technical corps. This role is designed for high-achieving graduates in Engineering, Physics, and Technology sectors who are ready to apply their specialized knowledge in a military context. Successful candidates will undergo intensive cadet training to become leaders capable of managing sophisticated weaponry, aircraft systems, and military infrastructure while upholding the highest standards of national defense.

Requirements:

• Recency: Only post-secondary academic credentials obtained from 2011 to date will be considered.

• Professional Registration: Must be duly registered with the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) or relevant regulating bodies.

• NYSC: Must possess a valid NYSC Discharge Certificate or a valid Exemption Certificate.

• Nationality: Must be a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

• Age (as of 30 March 2026): * General Applicants: 20 – 32 years.

  • Medical Consultants: 25 – 40 years.

• Physical Stature: * Height (Male): Minimum 1.68m.

  • Height (Female): Minimum 1.65m.

• Physical Integrity: Must be medically, mentally, and physically fit by Army standards. No tattoos or bodily inscriptions are permitted.

• Legal Standing: Must have no criminal convictions. Candidates must not belong to any cults, secret societies, or fraternities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Academic Grade: Minimum of a B.Eng or B.Sc (Second Class Upper) or HND (Upper Credit) from an accredited institution.

• Applicants must hold a degree in one of the following disciplines:

• Mechanical & Automotive: Mechanical, Automotive, Material, Metallurgical, Industrial, and Production Engineering.

• Electrical & Electronics: Electrical/Electronics, Physics/Electronics, Systems, and Avionics Engineering.

• Advanced Technology: Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer, and Software Engineering.

• Specialized Maintenance: Weapon Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance, and Biomedical Engineering.
