We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- The Customer Service Officer is responsible for delivering excellent customer experience by handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and supporting clients with microfinanceproducts and services.
- The role ensures customer satisfaction, retention, and adherence to regulatory and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries on products, services, and transactions
- Open and manage customer accounts in line with KYC and regulatory requirements
- Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution or escalation where necessary
- Provide accurate information on loans, savings products, and repayment processes
- Support loan application processes by guiding customers on requirements and documentation
- Maintain proper records of customer interactions and transactions
- Promote the institution’s products and cross-sell services to existing and prospective clients
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines
- Monitor customer satisfaction and provide feedback to management
- Assist in daily branch operations and administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, or related field
- 1–3years’ experience in customer service, preferably in banking or microfinance
- Good understanding of microfinance products and financial services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle difficult customers professionally
- Basic knowledge of banking operations and compliance (KYC/AML)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking software.
