Job Description:

We are seeking a precise and analytical Cost Accountant to join our Finance team. In a manufacturing environment, profitability is won or lost on the factory floor, and you will be the key figure responsible for tracking, analyzing, and optimizing those costs. You will provide the financial intelligence necessary to ensure our production processes are lean, efficient, and aligned with our corporate financial goals.

Requirements:

• Cost Analysis & Variance Reporting: Monitor standard versus actual costs for production processes. You will prepare detailed Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reports and conduct variance analysis to pinpoint operational inefficiencies.

• Database & Inventory Integrity: Manage and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) and standard cost databases. You will actively monitor inventory valuation and ensure that all stock records remain accurate and auditable.

• Operational Collaboration: Partner with production and supply chain teams to identify, validate, and implement cost-saving initiatives.

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Provide the high-fidelity cost data required to build robust budgets and accurate financial forecasts.

• Audit & Compliance: Conduct regular cost audits and ensure that all financial reporting adheres to internal controls and accounting standards. You will also play a key role in month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Management Reporting: Translate complex production data into clear, actionable financial reports that empower management to make sound strategic decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.

• Certifications: Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) is considered a distinct advantage.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (for large-scale data manipulation).

  • Hands-on experience with accounting software; SAP or equivalent ERP systems is a significant advantage.

• Key Competencies:

  • Analytical Rigor: A natural ability to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities within large volumes of data.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to record-keeping and financial reconciliation.

  • Communication: Ability to explain financial/cost data to non-finance operational staff clearly and persuasively.
