Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly, efficient, and detail-oriented Cashier to serve as the final point of contact for our customers. Your primary goal is to ensure every transaction is processed accurately and swiftly, while providing a warm and helpful service experience that encourages customers to return. If you have a passion for retail, strong math skills, and a "customer-first" mindset, we would love to have you on our team.
Requirements:
Transaction Management: Process cash, credit, and digital payments accurately using our POS system and cash register.
Customer Engagement: Greet every customer with enthusiasm, resolve complaints professionally, and provide helpful information about products.
Sales Enhancement: Actively cross-sell products and inform customers about new arrivals or promotions to help drive store performance.
Operations & Accuracy: Track transactions on balance sheets, report any discrepancies, and ensure your checkout area remains clean, organized, and inviting.
Package Preparation: Provide professional bagging, boxing, or gift-wrapping services as requested.
Returns & Exchanges: Handle merchandise returns and exchanges efficiently, following company policy to maintain customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Proven work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar sales role.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with electronic equipment, including cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Basic PC knowledge.
Key Competencies:
Numerical Accuracy: Strong math skills to ensure transaction precision.
Communication: Excellent verbal skills and a natural ability to build rapport with customers.
Efficiency: Strong time-management skills to handle busy periods without compromising service quality.
Attitude: Highly customer-oriented, patient, and capable of maintaining a positive demeanor even during high-traffic times.
