Job Description:
Ceviant Payments Nigeria Limited is seeking a strategic and experienced Compliance Manager to lead our regulatory oversight. As a licensed Payment Solution Service Provider (PSSP), we are committed to operating with the highest standards of integrity and governance. You will be the primary authority on regulatory engagement, AML/CFT controls, and internal policy, ensuring we remain compliant with all CBN guidelines while enabling sustainable business growth.
Requirements:
Regulatory Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Manage all audits, examinations, and inquiries, and ensure all statutory filings are accurate and timely.
Compliance Governance: Develop, implement, and refine compliance policies to align with PSSP licensing requirements and evolving industry circulars.
AML/CFT & Fraud Oversight: Monitor transaction patterns, enforce KYC/onboarding standards, and manage suspicious activity reporting (STR/SAR). Proactively identify fraud indicators and risk anomalies.
Risk Management: Conduct regular compliance risk assessments. Identify operational gaps and recommend mitigation strategies for new products and business processes.
Advisory & Training: Act as the internal subject matter expert on the Nigerian Data Protection Act (NDPA) and other relevant regulations. Provide regular training to staff to foster a culture of compliance across the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: 9+ years of professional experience in compliance within the fintech, payments, or banking sectors.
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Certifications: Professional certifications such as ACAMS, ICA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Nigerian financial ecosystem, specifically PSSP licensing requirements, CBN circulars, and AML/CFT frameworks.
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex regulatory directives into actionable business practices.
Integrity: A commitment to the highest ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
