Job Description:
We are seeking a visionary and high-impact Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to spearhead our commercial strategy and market presence across Nigeria’s energy landscape. As a core member of the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end orchestration of marketing, sales, and business development initiatives. This role demands a leader who can translate complex market intelligence into sustainable revenue growth and elevate our brand positioning within the Nigerian Oil & Gas value chain.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned strategist with a formidable track record in high-stakes contract negotiations, commercial scaling, and building elite marketing teams in a capital-intensive industry.
Requirements:
Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth
Growth Orchestration: Lead and execute comprehensive sales and marketing initiatives that align with the company's long-term corporate growth objectives.
Market Expansion: Identify and capture new market segments, driving sustainable revenue increases through diversified commercial strategies.
Commercial Strategy: Oversee business development and customer acquisition frameworks to ensure a robust and profitable project pipeline.
Brand Positioning & Market Intelligence
Brand Scaling: Define and lead the brand positioning strategy to establish the company as a premium leader in the energy sector.
Competitive Analysis: Conduct rigorous market intelligence and competitor tracking to identify emerging opportunities and mitigate market risks.
Thought Leadership: Represent the company at executive-level forums, industry conferences, and high-level stakeholder engagements.
Relationship Management & Negotiations
Executive Liaison: Build and maintain high-level relationships with key clients, JV partners, government regulators, and industry stakeholders.
Contract Negotiation: Lead strategic contract negotiations and high-value client engagements to secure favorable commercial terms.
Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage high-performing commercial and marketing teams across multiple regional hubs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. (An MBA is highly preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in marketing and revenue leadership.
Executive Seniority: At least 5 years must be at a senior or executive leadership level (Director/VP/GM).
Industry Domain: A profound understanding of the Nigerian Oil & Gas value chain is mandatory.
