Job Description:

We are seeking a sharp, trustworthy, and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team in Oshodi. As the final point of contact for our customers, you play a vital role in our business. Your mission is to ensure that every transaction is processed with 100% accuracy while providing the warm, professional service that keeps our customers coming back.

Requirements:

1. Financial Precision & Register Governance

  • Transaction Management: Accurately process all customer cash, POS, and transfer transactions, ensuring correct change is issued and receipts are provided.

  • Daily Reconciliation: Perform start-of-day and end-of-day register balancing to ensure physical cash perfectly matches system reports.

  • Leakage Prevention: Maintain a zero-tolerance approach to shortages, ensuring all financial records are clean and transparent.

2. Customer Service Excellence

  • Brand Ambassadorship: Greet every customer with a professional smile, resolving inquiries or directing them to the appropriate department.

  • Issue Resolution: Handle minor customer complaints or transaction disputes with grace and efficiency, escalating complex issues to the supervisor when necessary.

  • Speed of Service: Maintain a fast and efficient checkout flow to minimize wait times, especially during the high-traffic Oshodi rush hours.

3. Compliance & Policy Adherence

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Strictly follow company policies regarding discounts, returns, and staff purchases.

  • Security Awareness: Stay vigilant against counterfeit currency and fraudulent POS transactions, adhering to all security protocols.

  • Documentation: Ensure all physical receipts, invoices, and daily reports are filed neatly and accurately for audit purposes.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Gender: Female (as per specific operational requirements).

  • Location: Must be a resident of Oshodi or environs (to ensure punctuality and ease of transport).

  • Education: Minimum of OND, NCE, or SSCE with relevant experience.

  • Technical IQ: Basic computer literacy and experience operating a POS (Point of Sale) terminal.
