We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team. 
• The FP&A Analyst is responsible for leading financial planning and analysis activities for d.light Nigeria, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and supporting business growth.
• This role involves preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial models, conducting in-depth variance analysis, and providing key insights to management.
• The FP&A Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring financial data drives strategic decision-making, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
• This position requires a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive finance professional with strong technical expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling

Roles & Responsibilities
Cash Management:

• Manage daily cash transactions, ensuring proper recording and reconciliation.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor and forecast cash flow to maintain sufficient liquidity for operations.
• Ensure adherence to cash handling policies and internal financial controls.

 Inventory Management:

• Oversee inventory tracking and reconciliation to maintain accurate records.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Support procurement by ensuring timely payments and monitoring stock replenishment.
• Work with the finance and supply chain teams to align inventory valuation with financial reporting.

Reconciliation and Reporting:

• Prepare and reconcile cash, bank accounts, and inventory records.
• Assist the Senior Accountant in generating reports related to cash flow and inventory status.
• Identify and escalate risks related to cash handling and inventory management.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

• Implement and monitor internal controls related to cash and inventory processes.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, local tax laws, and statutory regulations.
• Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.

Requirements:

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cash management, inventory control, or a similar role.
• Experience working with cash management and inventory tracking software.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools are an advantage.
• Knowledge of Kenyan tax regulations is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:
Technical Skills:

• Strong reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/inventory management systems.
• Ability to analyze financial and inventory data to identify trends and discrepancies.

Organizational and Analytical Skills:

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvements.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, procurement, and operations teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
