Job Description:
- The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market coverage, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies within an assigned area.
- The role involves managing sales teams and distributors, strengthening customer relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement area sales plans in line with company objectives
- Achieve volume, value, and distribution targets within the assigned territory
- Supervise, coach, and motivate Sales Representatives and field sales teams
- Manage distributors, wholesalers, and key retail accounts
- Ensure product availability, visibility, and merchandising standards
- Monitor sales performance and submit regular reports and forecasts
- Execute trade promotions, product launches, and market activations
- Track competitor activities and market trends
- Enforce pricing, credit, and company sales policies
- Maintain strong relationships with key trade partners
Requirements:
- Minimum of HND/BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of sales in FMCG and at least 5 years in the sale of oil, seasoning cubes.
- Strong knowledge and experience of the local markets.
