Requirements:
1. Financial Reporting & IFRS Compliance
Reporting Excellence: Lead the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with IFRS and local regulatory standards.
Audit Stewardship: Manage the end-to-end audit process, acting as the primary liaison for external auditors to ensure "Clean" audit opinions and minimal management letter points.
General Ledger Integrity: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all reconciliations (bank, vendor, and intercompany) are forensic-ready.
2. Budgeting & Financial Modeling
Capital Allocation: Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts, providing leadership with data-backed insights on cost-saving opportunities and revenue growth.
Advanced Modeling: Create sophisticated financial models to evaluate business cases, investment opportunities, and long-term liquidity requirements.
ERP Optimization: Leverage high-tier financial software (SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) to automate reporting and enhance data transparency.
3. Tax Governance & Regulatory Oversight
Statutory Compliance: Ensure 100% accuracy and punctuality in the filing and remittance of all Nigerian taxes, including CIT, VAT, WHT, and PAYE.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and optimize daily liquidity, ensuring the firm maintains healthy working capital ratios and investment-ready cash positions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Certification (HIGHLY PREFERRED): Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN/ACA) or hold ACCA certification.
Experience: 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a distinct preference for candidates from the Financial Services sector.
Technical Competencies
Software Mastery: Proficiency in SAP, Oracle Financials, or QuickBooks.
