Job Description:
TeKnowledge is looking for a strategic and operationally rigorous Accounting Team Supervisor to lead our Finance Business Support Services (FBSS) hub in Lagos. This is a high-impact leadership role within a centralized global function, providing mission-critical accounting services to business units across 15 countries.
As the supervisor, you will not only manage a high-performing team but also act as a transformation agent—leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and AI-driven automation to turn financial complexity into operational clarity. You will be the primary bridge between our centralized hub and in-country finance leads, ensuring that global standardization meets local compliance. If you thrive in a fast-paced, "AI-first" environment and have a mastery of shared services workflows, this is your opportunity to lead at the edge of technology.
Requirements:
1. Shared Services Infrastructure & Team Leadership
Scaling & Governance: Partner with the FBSS Head to scale the team’s infrastructure, staffing, and governance frameworks to meet global demand.
Talent Development: Foster a culture of accountability and excellence, providing the training and mentorship necessary for your team to stay ahead in an evolving digital landscape.
Operational Oversight: Supervise core finance processes including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, and Payroll coordination.
2. Advanced Financial Operations & ERP Optimization
Technical Mastery: Ensure the deep adoption and continuous optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, driving the transition from manual efforts to automated excellence.
Complex Accounting: Oversee intricate processes such as IFRS 16 (Leases), multi-currency revaluations, intercompany journals, and the rigorous month-end/year-end close.
Continuous Improvement: Utilize AI and automation tools to enhance process efficiency, reducing cycle times for bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
3. Global Governance & Stakeholder Synergy
Cross-Border Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for in-country finance teams, ensuring that localized tax and statutory requirements are seamlessly integrated into the FBSS workflow.
Risk & Compliance: Maintain a robust internal control framework to mitigate risk across diverse jurisdictions.
Harmonization: Drive the standardization of finance processes across all 15 countries to ensure a "single source of truth" for the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred).
Experience: 6–8 years in finance operations, with a strong preference for candidates from a Shared Services (SSC) or Centralized Finance background.
ERP Proficiency: Advanced experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or similar Tier-1 ERPs like SAP/Oracle).
Excel Mastery: Advanced spreadsheet modeling and data analysis skills.
Core Competencies
Operational Acumen: Deep understanding of the end-to-end "Record-to-Report" (R2R) and "Order-to-Cash" (O2C) cycles.
People Leadership: Proven ability to supervise diverse teams and foster an inclusive, high-accountability environment.
Global Mindset: Comfortable navigating the nuances of multi-currency environments and international compliance.
