Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Accountant with SAP FICO expertise to join our team in Abuja. In this role, you will be the backbone of our financial data integrity, utilizing SAP to drive accurate reporting, seamless reconciliations, and efficient month-end/year-end closing processes. We are looking for a finance professional who is not only proficient in standard accounting practices but also serves as a power user of the SAP FICO module. If you have experience in the oil and gas sector and possess the technical ability to resolve complex posting errors and optimize our financial architecture, we want to hear from you.

Requirements:

• Core SAP Operations: Execute end-to-end accounting transactions, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank/Cash Management.

• Financial Closing: Lead the preparation and execution of monthly and annual closing cycles within SAP, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Generate advanced SAP financial reports and analyze trial balances to provide management with actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

• Error Resolution: Actively investigate and resolve SAP posting errors, reconciliation discrepancies, and complex account clearing issues.

• Master Data Management: Maintain integrity of master data, including GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers, vendors, and customers.

• Project Systems (PS): Manage and support accounting activities related to WBS, project systems, and cost objects, ensuring precise tracking of project-related financial performance.

• Financial Integrity: Ensure all journal entries are posted accurately and that all financial workflows adhere to internal controls and corporate standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: B.Sc. or HND in Accounting.

• Experience: Proven experience in a full-charge accounting role. Direct experience in the Oil and Gas sector is strongly preferred.

• Technical Proficiencies:

  • SAP Expertise: Working knowledge of SAP FICO (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting). Understanding of Project Systems (PS) is a distinct advantage.

  • Excel Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory for data manipulation and external analysis.

  • Reporting: Excellent ability to extract, analyze, and present financial reports.
