Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and analytically elite Accountant to anchor our finance department in Umuahia, Abia State. In the complex warehousing and logistics industry, success is defined by "Fiscal Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize GAAP-compliant financial reporting with the clinical precision required for balance sheet reconciliation, tax integrity, and budgetary forecasting. This role is designed for a "Financial Architect" with a degree in Accounting or Finance who can blend "Analytical Grit" (managing accounts payable and receivable) with the "Strategic Agility" required to provide high-fidelity insights into financial performance.

Requirements:

1. Reporting Orchestration & GAAP Governance

• Statement Sovereignty: Prepare and maintain high-fidelity financial statements and records, ensuring every entry is a "Source of Accuracy" aligned with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Reconciliation Excellence: Conduct monthly clinical reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving variances to ensure the "Zero-Gap" integrity of financial data.

• Audit Stewardship: Support internal and external audits by acting as the primary "Source of Information," providing millimetric documentation and clear explanations of financial processes.

2. Fiscal Flow & Control Architecture

• Transaction Governance: Manage the high-speed processing of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring that invoices, payments, and collections are executed with "Zero-Lag" efficiency.

• Control Engineering: Implement and maintain robust accounting controls and SOPs to protect the organization’s assets and ensure strict compliance with financial regulations.

• Budgetary Architecture: Assist in the engineering of annual budgets and forecasts, utilizing historical data to provide "Intelligence-Driven" insights into financial trends.

3. Strategic Synergy & Performance Intelligence

• Cross-Departmental Diplomacy: Collaborate synchronously with warehousing and logistics teams to support financial reporting and cost-analysis efforts.

• Insight Synthesis: Provide valuable insights into financial performance, acting as a "Strategic Partner" to help management understand the fiscal impact of operational decisions.

• Data Sovereignty: Maintain all financial software and digital records with clinical attention to detail, ensuring the organization’s fiscal history is secure and instantly retrievable.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: Proven experience as an Accountant, specifically within the Warehousing or Logistics industry.

• Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of GAAP; high proficiency in Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas and data analysis).
