Waltersmith Petroman Oil Limited is a wholly Nigerian indigenous energy company focused on oil & gas E&P, refining (operating Nigeria's first modular refinery), power, and petrochemicals, known for its integrated approach and commitment to local content. Established in 1996 as a joint venture, it became fully Nigerian-owned in 2001 and operates the Ibigwe field (OML 16) in Imo State, expanding into innovative downstream projects like modular refining and gas-to-power.

Job Description:

• This Graduate Internship Programme provides successful candidates a launchpad for a lasting career.
• You will gain hands-on experience across relevant functions, participate in value creation and realization, and mentorship from industry professionals. High-performing interns will be considered for full-time roles and growth opportunities within a company that values talent, learning, and long-term development.

Responsibilities:

•  Participate in a structured development programme designed to accelerate early-career learning and technical exposure.
• Gain valuable hands-on experience through challenging assignments across core business and operational functions.
• Receive dedicated mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback from experienced professionals.
• Combine both office and field experience to develop a practical understanding of oil and gas operations.
• Demonstrate excellence, adaptability, and teamwork in a fast-paced professional environment.
• High-performing interns may be considered for full-time employment opportunities upon successful completion of the programme.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be Nigerians with degrees in any of the following disciplines:  Engineering, Economics, Law, Humanities/Social Sciences, IT, Finance .
• Minimum academic qualification: Second Class Upper (2:1).
• Must have three years post-graduation experience (including NYSC)
• Must be a maximum of 25 years old
• If the candidate has a Master’s degree, this should have been completed by 2025
• Must be self-motivated, energetic, and demonstrate strong leadership, teamwork, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities
