Job Description:

Operational Excellence & Process Optimization

  • End-to-End Workflow: Supervise daily offloading, storage, and loading activities to ensure seamless product inflow and outflow (Full Products and Containers).

  • Process Standardization: Develop and implement SOPs, OPLs (One Point Lessons), and OWDs (Operational Work Diagnostics) to maintain high productivity and quality standards.

  • Logistics Downtime: Manage critical resources (e.g., Sorting and Forklift availability) to minimize logistics-related downtime.

  • Transfers & Credits: Oversee inter-depot/inter-warehouse transfers and process customer receipts/credits with high precision.

2. Inventory Integrity & Quality Control

  • Accuracy: Drive inventory accuracy through daily supervised stock counts and rigorous verification of shipments.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all warehouse stock is stored according to quality standards to guarantee availability for both internal and external customers.

  • Reporting: Collate and submit daily PI/KPI data to the Warehouse Controller, ensuring transparency in operational performance.

3. Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Goal Cascading: Participate in annual target setting and cascade team/individual goals to the shop floor.

  • Performance Tracking: Conduct daily performance tracking and formal monthly One-on-Ones to manage and develop team dynamics.

  • Safety Leadership: Own the safety agenda by driving correct behaviors on the shop floor and maintaining a zero-incident environment.

4. VPO/DPO Implementation

  • Strategic Alignment: Drive the implementation of VPO/DPO standards on the shop floor.

  • Audit Support: Represent the warehouse during milestone audits to support the plant’s strategic optimization goals.

Requirements:

  • Assertiveness: Strong personality to drive compliance and discipline on the shop floor.

  • Dependability: Consistent follow-through on targets and deadlines.

  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work effectively with minimal direction while maintaining a high work ethic.

  • Creativity: Ability to propose innovative solutions for space and process optimization.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: B.Sc. / B.Tech / HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

  • Technical Skills: * Computer literate with advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

    • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERPs (e.g., SAP) is an advantage.
