Job Description:

We are seeking a physically fit and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our operations in Ijebu Ode. This is a vital role within our supply chain, ensuring that raw materials (base oils/additives) and finished lubricant products are handled with precision, safety, and efficiency.

In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for the "heavy lifting" of our operations—from unloading bulk deliveries to picking and packing orders for our clients. Requirements:

1. Material Handling & Stock Integrity

• Receiving & Storage: Receive incoming raw materials and finished lubricant products, ensuring they are stored in their designated zones according to safety protocols.

• Loading Operations: Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring that products are secured to prevent leaks or damage during transit.

• Accurate Picking: Accurately pick and pack orders based on shipment manifests, ensuring the correct product grades (e.g., engine oils, industrial lubricants) are selected.

2. Inventory & Safety Maintenance

• Record Keeping: Maintain basic digital or manual inventory records, alerting supervisors to low stock or discrepancies.

• Site Safety: Maintain a pristine working environment. In a lubricant plant, this includes immediate cleanup of spills to prevent slip hazards and environmental contamination.

• Equipment Operation: Utilize warehouse equipment (trolleys, pallet jacks, etc.) safely and according to manufacturer guidelines.

3. Teamwork & Communication

• Collaboration: Work closely with the logistics and production teams to ensure that raw materials reach the blending area on time.

• Compliance: Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards mandatory for a chemical/lubricant manufacturing site.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Minimum of an SSCE Certificate.

• Experience: 1 – 2 years in a warehouse, logistics, or factory environment.

• Location: Must be based in Ijebu Ode or its immediate environs.

Core Competencies

• Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy objects and remain on your feet for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

• Technical Basics: Basic computer skills for data entry and the ability to operate manual warehouse equipment.

• Communication: Good verbal communication and a strong team-player mindset.

• Safety Mindset: Awareness of industrial safety standards and attention to detail.
