Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Utility Operations Engineer to anchor the lifeblood of our FMCG manufacturing engine in Ibadan. In the high-pressure production landscape, success is defined by "Utility Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize complex power and thermal systems with the clinical precision required for Uninterrupted Steam, Compressed Air, and Electricity Supply. This role is designed for an "Infrastructure Architect" with a B.Sc./HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 3–5 years of FMCG experience who can blend "Mechanical Grit" (servicing boilers and chillers) with the "Analytical Agility" required to optimize Energy Consumption and Wastewater Treatment (WTP/WWTP).
Requirements:
1. Generation Orchestration & Supply Governance
Output Sovereignty: Ensure the continuous and stable supply of steam, air, water, and electricity to production lines, acting as the primary "Source of Operational Readiness."
System Architecture: Operate and maintain a complex array of boilers, air compressors, chillers, and generators with millimetric focus, providing the "Thermal and Mechanical Foundation" for manufacturing.
Power Stewardship: Oversee power distribution systems to eliminate fluctuations, ensuring the "Source of Electrical Stability" remains intact.
2. Resilience Architecture & Maintenance Logic
Maintenance Sovereignty: Execute high-fidelity preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime, acting as the primary "Source of Asset Longevity."
Environmental Architecture: Maintain Water Treatment (WTP) and Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) with clinical focus, ensuring the "Source of Environmental Compliance."
Contractor Stewardship: Supervise utility technicians and coordinate external contractors, maintaining the "Source of Technical Quality Control."
3. Optimization Integrity & Performance Power
Efficiency Sovereignty: Monitor energy consumption and utility performance metrics, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for cost-reduction initiatives.
Inventory Architecture: Maintain meticulous records of maintenance logs and spare parts, optimizing the "Source of Supply Chain Readiness."
Improvement Logic: Support continuous improvement projects to enhance system efficiency, utilizing 3–5 years of FMCG expertise to maximize the "Source of Technical Innovation."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc. / HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience: 3–5 years of mandatory experience as a Utilities Engineer within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
Technical Mastery: Deep hands-on knowledge of Boilers, Compressors, Chillers, and Power Distribution.
