Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Turbine/Boiler Engineer to join our mining operations in Kaduna. In this role, you will be the technical expert responsible for the reliable operation, maintenance, and optimization of our turbine and boiler systems. Your work will directly support the power requirements of our mining activities, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency. Requirements:

• System Operations: Manage the daily operation of industrial boilers, ensuring peak efficiency and strict compliance with all safety and operational standards.

• Maintenance Leadership: Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on turbine systems to identify potential failures before they occur and minimize unscheduled downtime.

• Performance Monitoring: Systematically track system performance, analyze operational data, and provide data-backed recommendations for process improvements.

• Troubleshooting & Resolution: Act as the primary responder to technical issues, accurately diagnosing and resolving mechanical and systemic malfunctions.

• Safety & Compliance: Champion environmental, health, and safety regulations across all engineering tasks to ensure a safe work environment.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with mining, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure that energy delivery consistently supports our broader production goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: 4–6 years of hands-on experience managing turbine and boiler systems within a heavy industry setting (mining or energy preferred).

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.

  • Familiarity with industrial safety protocols and standards.

• Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team.

• Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in energy efficiency optimization.

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

  • Strong communication and technical reporting abilities.
