About Company:
Our client, an oil & gas company and a major manufacturer of a variety of lubricants and composite gas cylinder in Nigeria is seeking a skilled and proactive Technical Support Officer to join our team in a dynamic retail environment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing and supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our ERP system, retail software solutions, and security platforms such as Sophos Central. This role also involves overseeing IT installations, administering M365, setting up ODCPE at newly commissioned retail outlets, and troubleshooting system issues.
Job Description:
Maintain and support the Microsoft Dynamics ERP system and QuickBooks retail software solutions utilized by the organization.
Administer and manage Sophos Central, ensuring the security and integrity of IT systems across the organization.
Perform basic IT installations, including setting up and configuring ODCPE for new retail locations.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues effectively and in a timely manner.
Administer and manage Microsoft 365 (M365) accounts, services, and integrations.
Collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless IT operations and resolve technical challenges affecting company activities.
Perform system updates, security patches, and routine maintenance to uphold stability and performance.
Provide training and guidance to staff on the use of IT tools, security best practices, and systems.
Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, troubleshooting guides, and installations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in technical support with knowledge of ERP systems, retail software solutions, and IT security platforms.
- Expertise in administering and managing Sophos Central and M365.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with setting up and maintaining ODCPE and other retail-specific IT infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support and train non-technical staff.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to IT challenges.
