Job Description:
We are seeking a data-driven Technical HR Assistant to serve as the analytical engine of our Human Resources department. In the modern banking sector, HR is no longer just administrative; it is a technical function that requires precision, systems thinking, and data integrity.
You will be the primary custodian of our Human Resource Information System (HRIS), ensuring that employee data is not only secure but also serves as a strategic asset for payroll, compliance, and decision-making. If you possess the technical "know-how" to automate manual workflows and the analytical "eye" to translate HR metrics into business insights, you are the ideal fit for this high-impact role.
Requirements:
1. HRIS Governance & Data Integrity
Systems Stewardship: Maintain and update the HRIS (SAP/Oracle/BambooHR), ensuring that every data point—from new hire onboarding to exit documentation—is accurate and reflects the current organizational structure.
Database Security: Ensure all employee records are handled in strict accordance with Data Privacy Laws (NDPR), maintaining the highest levels of digital confidentiality.
Process Automation: Actively identify manual bottlenecks in the HR lifecycle and implement digital solutions to streamline departmental efficiency.
2. People Analytics & Strategic Reporting
Metric Extraction: Track and analyze key HR performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnover rates, time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and workforce diversity statistics.
Management Insight: Transform raw data into visual weekly and monthly reports, providing senior leadership with a clear view of the "people health" of the bank.
Payroll Synchronization: Provide critical technical support during the payroll cycle, ensuring that attendance, deductions, and bonuses are accurately synced with financial systems.
3. Technical Recruitment & Regulatory Compliance
Specialized Sourcing: Support the recruitment of niche roles (IT, Risk, Fintech, and Compliance) by managing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and screening for technical competencies.
Audit Readiness: Prepare comprehensive digital audit trails to satisfy internal and external auditors, ensuring 100% compliance with PenCom, NHF, and other regulatory filing requirements.
Stakeholder Support: Act as the technical liaison between the HR department and the IT/Finance teams to resolve system integration issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc in Human Resources, Computer Science, Statistics, or Business Administration.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in an HR role, specifically within the Banking or Fintech sectors.
Professional Certification: Associate membership of CIPM, HRCI, or SHRM is a distinct advantage.
Technical Competencies
Software Mastery: Proficiency in enterprise HRIS software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or indigenous banking HR platforms).
Data Tools: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Macros, Data Visualization, and complex formulas (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and Nigerian labor/pension laws.
