Job Description:

We are looking for a talented, innovative, and detail-oriented Technical Design Officer to join our automotive manufacturing team in Abuja. In this role, you will play a key part in the lifecycle of our automotive products, from initial concept and 3D modeling to prototype testing and full-scale production. If you have a passion for automotive engineering, a strong command of CAD software, and the ability to bridge the gap between design theory and manufacturing reality, we want to hear from you.

Requirements:

• Design & Modeling: Develop high-precision 2D and 3D models of vehicle components and assemblies; maintain and update all engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Engineering Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies, design analyses, and engineering calculations to ensure optimal product performance.

• Prototyping & Validation: Support the full product development cycle, including prototype development, testing, and validation phases.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Engineering teams to ensure that all designs are cost-effective, safe, and fully manufacturable.

• Continuous Improvement: Review existing designs to recommend enhancements in reliability, safety, and production efficiency.

• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all designs comply with automotive industry standards and maintain rigorous records of all technical revisions and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design, or a related field.

• Experience: 2–4 years of proven experience in technical design, product development, or engineering design within a manufacturing environment.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar).

  • Deep understanding of engineering drawing standards and manufacturing processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for technical documentation.
