Job Description:

We are seeking a highly seasoned ACA/FCA to act as a Technical Advisor (TA) to our Executive Chairman. This is a high-level, strategic advisory role designed for an expert who demands precision and possesses a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape in Nigeria. Working on a part-time/retainer basis, you will serve as a critical quality gatekeeper for our most complex audit and advisory engagements. For the right candidate, this role offers a clear pathway to Partnership or Directorship based on performance and contributions to the firm’s technical excellence.

Requirements:

• Quality Control & Technical Review: Conduct second-partner reviews of high-risk audit files to ensure strict compliance with ISA, IFRS, and FRC regulations. Review all major audit reports, management letters, and advisory deliverables for technical accuracy.

• Technical Advisory: Provide authoritative opinions and memos on complex accounting, audit, and tax matters. Advise the Chairman on navigating technical challenges via direct consultation.

• Regulatory Readiness: Support the firm during ICAN and FRC inspections by auditing sample files and advising on ISQM 1 & 2 compliance gaps.

• Strategic Documentation: Draft technical sections for complex proposals, engagement letters, and formal regulatory responses. Assist in preparing board papers and high-stakes client presentations.

• Thought Leadership & Training: Lead technical training sessions for our staff and author authoritative articles or memos to boost the firm’s profile in the industry.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Professional Qualification: ACA or FCA with at least 8+ years of post-qualification audit experience.

• Career Pedigree: Must have served as a Senior Manager or Manager in a reputable audit firm; experience in Big 4 or top-tier mid-tier firms is strongly preferred.

• Regulatory Expertise: Current and in-depth knowledge of ISA, IFRS, ISQM 1/2, and FRC Nigeria regulations.

• Communication: Exceptional technical writing and communication skills.

• Integrity: Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), Non-Compete, and Non-Solicitation agreement.
