Job Description:

We are seeking a high-energy Technical Assistant Engineer to serve as our primary technical presence on construction and building sites. In the construction industry, the most valuable business opportunities are found on the field; this role is designed for a "Technical Scout"—someone with a degree in Civil Engineering or Building Technology who can provide on-site support while identifying high-potential sales leads.

Your mission is to be the technical eyes and ears of the organization. You will be responsible for visiting active sites, providing basic engineering support, and qualifying leads that can be fulfilled by our Sales team within a strict 72-hour window. If you are physically fit, possess strong technical site-handling knowledge, and have a sharp instinct for identifying business opportunities, we want you on the field.

Requirements:

1. On-Site Technical Engagement

  • Field Support: Conduct regular visits to construction sites within assigned locations to provide required technical services and site-handling support.

  • Process Knowledge: Apply your understanding of construction processes and building materials to assist site managers and resolve basic technical queries.

  • Operational Execution: Support the Field Sales Manager in executing technical tasks and ensuring the brand's presence at key development locations.

2. High-Velocity Lead Generation

  • Opportunity Identification: Scout active building sites to generate and document qualified business leads that align with our product/service offerings.

  • Rapid Fulfillment Pipeline: Ensure all leads generated are valid and urgent, capable of being handed over to Field Sales Agents for fulfillment within 72 hours.

  • Lead Quality Control: Verify that generated leads are legitimate and that clients have an immediate requirement before documenting them for the sales team.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Field Activity Logs: Maintain meticulous records of every site visit, including the nature of activities carried out and the status of leads generated.

  • Strategic Feedback: Provide regular reports to management on site trends, material requirements, and field-level challenges to inform business strategy.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, or Construction Management.

  • Field Acumen: Basic understanding of site operations, construction materials, and the lifecycle of building projects.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively and work across different locations within Nigeria as business needs evolve.
