Job Description:

• Vitapur Nigeria Limited is venturing into a pioneering line of business: Castor Oil Production and Bio-Polyol Processing.
• We are seeking a technically proficient System House Supervisor to lead the extraction and refining operations.
• This role is responsible for overseeing the transformation of castor seeds into high-grade oil and managing the subsequent chemical system production used in our polyurethane applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Extraction & Refining Oversight: Supervise the mechanical extraction (pressing) and chemical refining processes to ensure high-yield castor oil production.
• Chemical System Formulation: Lead the blending and production of chemical "systems" (polyol blends) ensuring the refined oil meets the required specifications for foam production.
• Process Standardization: Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for oil degumming, neutralization, and bleaching.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct laboratory tests to monitor acidity, iodine value, and viscosity of the oil and chemical systems.
• Yield Optimization: Monitor raw material (castor seed) input versus oil output to identify and eliminate process inefficiencies.
• Equipment Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of extraction presses, filtration systems, and chemical reactor vessels.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure the System House operates under strict HSE standards, particularly regarding chemical reactions and high-temperature refining.

Requirements:

• Education: OND or HND in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Technology, or Industrial Chemistry.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years total experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment.
• At least 2–3 years of direct experience in Oil Refining or Oil Seed Extraction.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of oil processing stages (pressing, refining, and filtration).
• Familiarity with the chemical properties.
