Job Description:

Are you a precision-driven engineer with a passion for designing safe and sustainable infrastructure? We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our technical team. You will be responsible for the design, rigorous analysis, and on-site supervision of structural components for a variety of residential and commercial building projects.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between architectural vision and engineering reality, ensuring that every structure is stable, safe, and fully compliant with the National Building Code of Nigeria and international safety standards.

Requirements:

Structural Design & Analysis

• Engineering Calculations: Perform detailed structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete, steel, and timber structures.

• Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive structural drawings, load calculations, and technical reports for regulatory approval and site use.

• Standards Compliance: Ensure all designs meet Nigerian building regulations, safety standards, and specific project requirements.

Site Supervision & Quality Control

• Construction Oversight: Conduct regular site inspections to supervise construction activities and ensure adherence to approved structural drawings.

• Material Testing: Verify the quality of structural materials (e.g., concrete strength, steel grade) on-site.

• Technical Reporting: Document site progress and provide technical solutions for any structural challenges encountered during execution.

Collaboration & Project Management

• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Work closely with Architects, MEP Engineers, and Contractors to ensure integrated project delivery.

• Stakeholder Management: Present structural findings and recommendations to project managers and clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: B.Eng, B.Sc, or HND in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

• Experience: 2–3 years of proven experience in structural design and construction supervision.

• Technical Software Proficiency:

  • Expert knowledge of AutoCAD (2D & 3D).

  • Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., Orion, STAAD.Pro, Revit, or Tekla) is a significant advantage.

• Core Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

  • Excellent communication and technical report-writing abilities.

  • Ability to interpret complex architectural drawings and blueprints.
