We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• The Storage and Data Protection Engineer at SWATX (Nigeria) is tasked with ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of our data storage systems.
• In this pivotal role, you will design, implement, and manage data protection solutions tailored to the needs of our clients and internal stakeholders.
• Additionally, you will play a key role in developing backup and recovery strategies, ensuring that critical business data is safeguarded against loss and breaches.
• This position demands a hands-on approach where you will utilize your expertise to assess client needs, propose effective data solutions, and execute storage management best practices.
• As part of the engineering team, you will work closely with various departments to identify areas for improvement and implement advanced technologies to enhance our data protection framework.

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in data storage management and data protection solutions.
• Expertise in SAN/NAS technologies and diverse storage architectures.
• Proficient in backup and recovery technologies (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, or similar).
• Strong understanding of cloud storage solutions and hybrid architectures.
• Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Knowledge of data encryption standards and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and capacity planning for storage systems.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve data-related issues efficiently.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as VCP, NetApp, or similar storage/deduplication certifications are a plus.
• Experience in a multi-site or global data environment is advantageous.
