We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

  • We are looking for a competent, disciplined and business-driven Station Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the filling station, ensure sales growth, enforce operational standards, manage staff performance, maintain safety compliance and guarantee smooth running of all station activities.
  • The ideal candidate must have strong leadership qualities, good analytical ability, excellent people management skills and a proven record of operational efficiency. He will be responsible for accountability, profitability and regulatory compliance at the station.

Key Responsibilities
Sales, Operations & Business Control:

  • Monitor and drive daily sales performance to meet revenue targets.
  • Ensure accurate product dispensing, zero manipulation and zero leakage of funds or products.
  • Track stock movement, supervise product offloading, and maintain loss-free inventory management.
  • Ensure accurate shift documentation, reconciliation and daily reporting to management.
  • Implement controls to avoid fraud, product dilution, meter tampering and unauthorized activities.

Team Leadership & Staff Management:

  • Supervise, coordinate and evaluate all station staff (attendants, cashiers, security, cleaners etc).
  • Draw and manage duty rosters to ensure effective station coverage.
  • Enforce discipline, punctuality and adherence to work ethics and policies.
  • Conduct on-the-job coaching and performance-based assessments.

Customer Experience & Brand Standards:

  • Ensure courteous customer service delivery and swift handling of issues or complaints.
  • Maintain clean, organised, service-ready forecourt and sales environment.
  • Promote brand values, upsell products/services and retain customer loyalty.

HSE & Compliance:

  • Enforce safety, fire prevention, product handling standards and regulatory compliance at all times.
  • Conduct safety drills, spot checks and ensure station equipment is functional (extinguishers, pumps etc).
  • Escalate incidents, near misses or operational concerns promptly to management.

Financial Accountability:

  • Authorise and verify daily station reports, cash deposits and bank lodgements.
  • Track expenses, manage station imprest and ensure cost discipline.
  • Prevent financial variances, maintain audit readiness and provide transparent records at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum OND / HND / B.Sc in any discipline (Business, Accounting or related field is an advantage).
  • 3–5 years experience in station or retail outlet management.
  • Strong knowledge of petroleum retail operations, controls and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, drive sales and enforce accountability.
  • High integrity, strong numeric accuracy and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Excel & reporting tools required).
