Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and operationally disciplined Station Manager to lead end-to-end operations at our retail fuel facility. The ideal candidate will oversee fuel sales, financial reconciliation, staff supervision, and site safety. You will be responsible for driving site profitability, ensuring seamless daily operations, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Requirements:
Operations & Inventory Management
Direct daily station activities to ensure seamless fuel dispensing and operational flow.
Maintain rigorous inventory control, including daily stock reconciliation of PMS, AGO, DPK, and lubricants.
Supervise fuel discharge/receiving processes, verifying all deliveries against official documentation.
Ensure all station equipment—including pumps, generators, and POS terminals—is fully functional.
Sales & Business Growth
Drive site performance by monitoring fuel volumes, revenue, and profit margins.
Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to improve customer patronage.
Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for management.
Financial Control & Cash Management
Lead daily sales reconciliation and ensure all cash collections, POS transactions, and transfers are accounted for.
Manage daily banking lodgements and maintain strict control over station petty cash and operational expenses.
Investigate and report any inventory shortages or financial variances immediately.
Leadership & Staff Supervision
Manage a diverse team of pump attendants, cashiers, and support staff.
Develop shift schedules to ensure full coverage and operational continuity.
Coach and train staff on professional grooming, customer service excellence, and safety standards.
Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE)
Enforce strict compliance with all safety protocols, hazard prevention standards, and fuel handling procedures.
Maintain the station’s safety equipment, including fire extinguishers and emergency signage.
Uphold high standards of premises cleanliness and environmental compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 7–15 years of operational management experience in a filling station, oil & gas downstream business, or similar high-volume retail environment.
Location: Must reside in Imo State or Anambra (Uga) environs.
