Job Description:
We are seeking a visionary State Clinical Coordinator to provide high-level leadership for all AHF-supported clinical facilities within the state. You will be the primary driver of medical excellence, responsible for scaling HIV prevention and treatment services while ensuring that every site maintains the highest standards of care. This role is perfect for a senior medical leader with a passion for public health, a deep understanding of HIV/AIDS clinical protocols, and the management prowess to lead multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
Strategic Leadership: Oversee all AHF medical operations in the state, supporting the Country Program Manager to expand our service footprint and ensure seamless, high-quality clinical delivery.
Clinical Excellence: Drive the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Improvement (QI) benchmarks. You will ensure integrated service delivery across TB/HIV, PMTCT, and ART programs.
Team Mentorship: Provide direct supervision and technical mentorship to doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and laboratory scientists. You are responsible for fostering continuous professional growth and clinical excellence.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Oversee the collection and analysis of routine data to guide clinical interventions. You will identify early warning signs for drug resistance and optimize patient flow in high-volume sites.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key representative at technical partnership and stakeholder meetings, ensuring AHF’s clinical voice is heard and reflected in regional strategy.
Operational Management: Lead annual target setting, budgeting, facility-level performance appraisals, and drug inventory management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Medical Doctor (MBBS/MBChB) from a recognized institution. Additional qualifications in Health Systems Management or Public Health are a significant advantage.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of total medical/health service experience.
3+ years of recent experience in HIV/AIDS treatment.
2+ years of formal administration and program management experience (including budgeting and planning).
