SOLVENT PLANT OPERATORS AT UNICANE INDUSTRIES FZE

About Company:

Unicane Industries FZE is the largest refiner of Ethanol and Soya Oil production in Africa. We're seeking experienced Solvent Plant Operators to join our team at our Soya Solvent Extraction Plant in the Soya Meal, Preparatory, and Silo Pre-Cleaning sections. As key members of our production team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• We're looking for highly skilled Solvent Plant Operators with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing company.
• The successful candidates will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment, ensuring optimal performance, and maximizing productivity in their respective sections.

Section-Specific Responsibilities
Soya Meal Section:

• Operate and monitor equipment to ensure optimal soya meal production
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance to prevent downtime
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions

Preparatory Section:

• Prepare flakes for solvent extraction, ensuring quality and consistency
• Operate and monitor equipment, adjusting controls as necessary
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance to prevent downtime

Silo Pre-Cleaning Section:

• Operate and monitor equipment to ensure efficient pre-cleaning of soya beans
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance to prevent downtime
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions

Requirements:

• Education: OND / HND / BSc in a relevant field, such as Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
• Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing company, preferably in a solvent extraction or chemical processing environment.

Skills:

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic knowledge of chemical processes and equipment operation
• Ability to synergize with other departments to achieve set goals.
