Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to manage and oversee tax compliance, planning, and reporting for our organization.
• The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with finance and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file accurate tax returns (corporate, withholding, VAT, PAYE, and other applicable taxes)
• Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations and deadlines
• Manage tax audits, assessments, and correspondence with tax authorities
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax risk and optimize savings
• Review financial statements and transactions for tax implications
• Monitor changes in tax laws and advise management on potential impacts
• Support month-end and year-end financial close from a tax perspective
• Mentor and review work of junior tax or accounting staff
• Collaborate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of tax laws, compliance, and reporting standards
• Experience handling tax audits and regulatory reviews
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or ICAN is required
• Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive tax accounting experience
