Job Description:
Liaise with Qatar Airways Group outstation stakeholders to ensure compliance with national, state, and regional Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
Contribute to policy and procedure improvements by recommending changes, monitoring reviews, and supporting revisions to maintain compliance with legal and industry OHS standards.
Facilitate the integration of Qatar Airways OHS Manual standards and procedures into group operations, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Assist in preparing and reviewing staff and customer incident reports, ensuring corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
Support the development and execution of safety campaigns within Qatar Airways to reduce workplace incidents and enhance passenger and staff safety.
Participate in investigations of workplace accidents and incidents involving Qatar Airways Group staff and customers on the ground.
Assist the line manager in developing, implementing, and reviewing OHS risk assessments, including fire risk assessments, for Qatar Airways Group outstation commercial locations.
Conduct regular health and safety inspections and audits across outstation commercial sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) standards. Recommend control measures, coordinate with relevant departments, and follow up to validate effectiveness.
Support the development, implementation, and review of emergency response procedures and action plans, including fire evacuation drills, for all Qatar Airways Group outstation commercial locations.
Review and process OHS evaluations of Permit-to-Work (PTW) requests, ensuring high-risk activities such as work-at-height and hot work meet regulatory OHS requirements in line with applicable national and regional safety standards.
Requirements:
- Strong Knowledge of national and international Occupational Health and Safety laws and international best practices.
- Possess a critical and analytic mind with a view to standardize procedures attributed to safety of Operations.
- Requires strong interpersonal and investigative skills, and conflict resolution abilities with a strong command for details.
- Excellent data analysis and presentation skills.
- Fluency in both spoken and written Native and English and capable of writing clear factual reports to a very high Standard.
- Highly desirable proficiency in French and Arabic language.
- Project Management and planning skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant College or University qualifications with minimum 5 years of job-related experience.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.
- ISO 45001 auditing qualifications and any mandatory local OHS qualifications required by the law.
