Job Description:

• As the Senior OTC Trader, you will lead and manage OTC trading activities across multiple currencies, ensuring optimal execution, regulatory compliance, and profitability. The role focuses on FX dealing related to remittances, liquidity management, and strategic positioning in line with IMTO operations.

Responsibilities

• Execute OTC FX trades (USD/NGN, GBP/NGN, EUR/NGN) within approved limits, managing spot and forward transactions for optimal pricing and timing.
• Develop and implement FX trading strategies to maximize profit and manage currency exposure.
• Monitor FX market trends, economic indicators, and maintain an accurate trading blotter.
• Maintain relationships with BDCs, banks, and other counterparties, negotiating rates and sourcing best market prices.
• Provide real-time market updates and analysis to management.
• Ensure compliance with CBN regulations and FX trading guidelines, monitoring positions and reporting suspicious or non-compliant transactions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in FX trading or OTC markets, preferably within an IMTO or a bank in Nigeria.
• Strong understanding of Nigeria's FX regulatory framework, including CBN guidelines.
• Deep market knowledge of Nigerian OTC market, FMDQ trading platforms, and interbank market dynamics.
• Proficiency in Bloomberg, Reuters, FMDQ Q-ex, and Excel-based trading models.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CIS) are an added advantage.
