Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team in Lagos. In this role, you will take ownership of designing, building, and managing our enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud environments. Your primary focus will be to establish a highly reliable, scalable, and secure IT backbone that minimizes downtime and drives significant business impact.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience managing complex hybrid/cloud setups and a proven track record of troubleshooting critical infrastructure failures efficiently.

Requirements:

• Infrastructure Management: Maintain, optimize, and secure core corporate servers, local/wide networks, and data storage systems to guarantee maximum uptime.

• Architecture & Cloud Design: Design and manage scalable enterprise IT infrastructure, utilizing both cloud-native (AWS/Azure) and hybrid environments.

• Scalability & Disaster Recovery: Implement strategies to ensure system availability, scalability, and seamless data backup/disaster recovery protocols.

• Troubleshooting & Support: Act as the highest tier of support for diagnosing and resolving critical infrastructure performance bottlenecks and system outages.

• Virtualization & Networking: Manage physical and virtualized computing resources while maintaining robust network security protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of verifiable experience working as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar enterprise-level IT engineering role.

• Technical Proficiencies:

  • Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.

  • Deep understanding of networking protocols, security firewalls, and virtualization technologies.

  • Hands-on expertise with storage management, server administration (Linux/Windows Server), and disaster recovery tools.

• Key Skills:

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills under high-pressure system fail scenarios.

  • Strong awareness of the business impact of IT infrastructure choices.

  • Excellent coordination skills to align tech stack capabilities with overall corporate strategies.
