Job Description:

We are seeking a technically sophisticated and documentation-driven Senior DevOps Engineer to anchor our cloud operations in Lagos. In the enterprise and fintech landscape, DevOps is the bridge between rapid innovation and systemic stability. This role is designed for an "Infrastructure Architect", a professional with over 6 years of experience who can blend hands-on container orchestration with the "Architectural Grit" required to document and secure complex microservices environments.

Your mission is to ensure "Elastic Scalability and Deployment Integrity." You will be the primary steward of our CI/CD ecosystem: responsible for automating infrastructure through code (Terraform), managing Kubernetes clusters, and maintaining the high-fidelity documentation required for security compliance (ISO 27001/SOC 2). If you possess a "Systems Mindset" and a drive for 99.9% uptime, we want you to lead our DevOps maturation.

Requirements:

1. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Orchestration

• Immutable Infrastructure: Utilize Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ensuring environments are reproducible and version-controlled.

• Container Excellence: Deploy and maintain highly available Kubernetes and Docker environments, optimizing for resource efficiency and seamless scaling.

• Architecture Visualization: Create and maintain detailed architecture diagrams and process flows, ensuring the "Digital Twin" of our infrastructure is always up to date.

2. CI/CD & Automation Engineering

• Pipeline Governance: Build and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps, reducing "Time-to-Market" while increasing deployment reliability.

• Automated Observability: Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and backup strategies to proactively identify and resolve system bottlenecks.

• Security Integration (DevSecOps): Ensure all deployment processes comply with data protection standards, integrating security scans directly into the build pipeline.

3. Systems Reliability & Performance

• Microservices Strategy: Support the development team in managing API gateways and microservices communication, ensuring low latency and high throughput.

• Compliance Alignment: Maintain infrastructure in accordance with security frameworks like ISO 27001 or SOC 2, preparing the system for rigorous external audits.

• Capacity Planning: Monitor system performance and uptime, making data-driven recommendations for infrastructure upgrades or cost-optimization initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Experience: 6+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Cloud Mastery: Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, supported by certifications in these platforms (highly preferred).

• Technical Stack: Expert proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and modern CI/CD tools.
